Shatha Hanaysha (Arabic: شذى حنايشة ) is a Palestinian journalist from Jenin in the occupied West Bank. She has worked as a field journalist for several years with many news websites and TV channels such as Middle East Eye. Her experience extends back from 2015 when she was reporting on the Israeli occupation raids in the region.[1]

In May of 2022 Shatha was reporting on the ground in Jenin as a correspondent for Ultra Palestine. She was a witness to the shooting that targeted Shireen Abu Akleh and she survived. Shatha was the first to gain the Shireen Abu Akleh Endowed Memorial Scholarship, which supports Palestinian women who are interested in pursuing a master's degree in Media Studied at the American University of Beirut.[2]
