Sonia Heller is a singer and songwriter from Lausanne, Switzerland. She is best known for being the lead singer of the band Core22 (1994-2006).

Life and career

Sonia Heller was born on 30 January 1962 in Pully, Switzerland. During her teenage years, she studied flute and piano and began composing her own music. She played keyboard in several local bands before co-founding the band Core, which was later renamed Core22.

After the band's dissolution in 2006, Sonia traveled between India and the Middle East, where she continues to reside. In 2021, she released her first solo single, All Over You produced by a Swedish producer, Simon Jacobsson. The single has been remixed in various versions by Jordan Lawlor (also known as J. Laser) and the Iran-based DJ and producer Hypersia. In 2022, Sonia released her second solo single,Cherry Tree, produced by Romanian-Canadian producer Ovi Bistriceanu.

In 2023, Sonia collaborated with animal advocate David Appleby (also known as Khalifa City Lost Boys) to co-write the song Open Your Heart, an anthem for tolerance and respect, featuring titles in both English and Arabic. The song has been remixed by German producer Ralph Wegner.

In May 2024, Sonia released her third single Ready To Die which she wrote and produced herself, with mixing and mastering by London-based sound designer Sefi Carmel.
