- Comment: The actual secondary sources (no comment on reliability or independence) talk about Source Elements' tools, not Source Elements itself. There is no more information given about the company than that it makes a few software applications. Sungodtemple (talk • contribs) 04:14, 13 January 2024 (UTC)
Source Elements is a Limited Liability Company specializing in software solutions for remote collaboration in audio production. Source Elements is based in Evanston, Illinois. They are a significant player in the audio industry, providing tools that enable professionals to collaborate on audio projects regardless of their physical location.
One of their notable products is Source-Connect, a software application designed for high-quality, real-time audio collaboration over the internet. Source-Connect allows users in different locations to connect their digital audio workstations (DAWs) and work together on projects in a seamless manner, as if they were in the same studio, providing guaranteed recording.[1] and synchronization services [2].
History[edit]
The company was founded by Robert Marshall, Rebekah Wilson and John Binder in 2005 [3] in Chicago. Source-Connect version 1.0 was launched in March 2005 and exhibited at the National Association of Broadcasters conference in Las Vegas. The company sponsors SAG-AFTRA Don La Fontaine Voiceover Lab with the annual Don La Fontaine Voiceover Lab Spirit Award [4] along with a diversity program and various conference sponsorships around the world [5] [6] [7].
Awards[edit]
In 2021 Source Elements was a finalist in Fast Company's World Changing Ideas: Enduring Impact award [8], in the category of companies that have achieved incredible impact and have been in business over 15 years.
In 2021, 2022 and 2023 the company was awarded the One Voice Best Voiceover Services Provider of the Year (Public vote) [9] [10] [11]
