Stephen Richer is the 30th Recorder of Maricopa County. He was elected in November 2020 and took office January 2021.[2] Richer defeated the Democrat incumbent Adrian Fontes by 4,599 votes.[3][4] Stephen Richer graduated with a bachelor's degree from Tulane University and obtained a juris doctor degree from the University of Chicago.
