Steven John Romanello is an American trial lawyer, musician, songwriter, publisher, and music producer.

Early life and education[edit]

Steven John Romanello was born in Paterson, New Jersey, on November 29, 1970. Romanello is the elder of two children and has a younger sister, Jennifer Lynn Romanello. Romanello moved to Florida when he was four years old and grew up between Florida and Texas.

Romanello has played bass and keyboards for Atlantic Recording Artist Linear since 1990.<[citation needed] Linear’s single “Sending All My Love” charted No. 5 in the United States and sold over a million copies worldwide.[1]

Romanello is the co-founder and lead vocalist for the pop-dance group Secret Oktober, produced by Tolga Katas, which was formed in 1991.[2] Secret Oktober had radio success with its debut single “You’re My Only Lover” and disbanded in 1994.[3]

Romanello graduated from Florida Atlantic University in 1998 with a degree in political science.[4] He attended Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law between 1998-2001.[5] While attending law school, Romanello was the Editor-in-Chief of the ILSA Journal of International Comparative Law, a leading academic legal publication with wordwide circulation, between 2000 and 2001.[6] Romanello graduated from law school in 2001 earning a doctorate of juridical science.[7]

Career[edit]

Romanello began his legal career with Draughon Professional Association in Jacksonville, Florida in 2002. At Draughon, Romanello obtained a multi-million dollar verdict against Merrill Lynch. He left Draughon to start his practice, Romanello Professional Association, in 2003.[8] He co-founded Kaiser Romanello Accident & Injury Attorneys with Lorne Kaiser in 2009.[9] Kaiser Romanello has recovered millions for their clients and, among other victories, obtained a five-million-dollar verdict against Simon Property Group and Allied Universal in February 2023.[10]

Romanello continues to write, record and produce music. He is the co-founder, bassist, and producer of the pop-country duo The Dakota Project alongside Max Dalton.[11]
