The Dracon was an Armored car designed by Romanian company Stimpex in 2018, it was created as a armored car for either the Romanian Army or for export. However by this time the only experience they had for designing Armored vehicles were ones for police and civilian use.

Stimpex opted to build the Dracon on a Ford F550 chassis, and used as many assets available on the civilian market to save on cost of production, and increase availability of spare parts. The first fully functioning prototype would be completed in just 45 days after the project was started.[1]

The vehicle is designed to be very adaptable to a wide range of potential uses, and has Stanag 4569 Level 2 protection. Along with the standard version the vehicle can also be equipped with External CTIS, gun port in the front window, gun ports – Left/Right/Rear 2/2/1, turret, 24v System, and a NBC Over pressure protection system[2]

Though the vehicle has been seen in use with the Romanian military, however it is unsure how many are in service, or plan to be.
