The Thar Institute of Technology (TIT) was established in 2018 in Islamkot, a coal catchment area in the Thar region. The institute was founded with the objective of addressing the socio-economic challenges faced by the local youth by empowering them with technical and vocational skills.
Background and Mission[edit]
Recognizing the youth as a potentially strong pillar of society, despite their underutilized potential, the Thar Institute of Technology embarked on a mission to engage and empower them. The institute believes that the youth, with their energy, creativity, and talent, are essential assets for societal development.
