Tharangazhi, written by Rejithan Kandanissery and published by D.C. Books, is a novel that presents the history of a region from 1942 onwards. It is completed in the style envisioned by the Malayalam classic novelist Kovilan's "Thattakam". Alongside the tales of the Thattakam, the author and contemporaries appear as characters in Tharangazhi. It also serves as an investigation into the literary thoughts and life of the writer Kovilan. The political landscape and livelihood challenges of the village of Kavilassery are revealed in Tharangazhi. The lives of various individuals, flora, and fauna, along with the locations like Kalluthippara, Munimada, Kudakallu, Eramoodu, Shankaram Kulam, and the Ayni trees in Vazhathadath, all dance with a mix of warmth and intensity in the pages of Tharangazhi.
