The Barbarians of California is an American hardcore punk band from Los Angeles, California.
History
[edit]The Barbarians of California is a hyper aggressive project formed by AWOLNATION front man Aaron Bruno and his longtime engineer, mixer Eric Stenman.[1]
Lambgoat.com says: “The collaboration between Stenman and Bruno marks a return to their hardcore roots, blending the raw energy of the underground music scene with a modern twist. Embracing their mutual love for aggressive music, The Barbarians of California delivers a refreshing take that pays homage to their musical origins while contributing something new to the scene.” [2]
The band's debut single, “Dopamine Prophecy”, was released on February 9th, 2024. [3] The song featured an animated video created by Cole Higgins
The band’s third single, “Far Out, Bro”, features a guest appearance from Daryl Taberski, lead vocalist for Snapcase. "From the start, Aaron and I have been having so much fun with this new Barbarians project. Zero expectations, all expression and exploration," Stenman exclusively tells Revolver (magazine). "Then… the idea came up to start adding some guest appearances! Daryl and Snapcase are true heroes and legends. We are so honored that he pitched in and we can’t wait to share some of the other surprises that we have coming up!” [4]
