Gameplay

The purpose of the game is to drive, for which the game has endlessly generated desert and road, which has electricity poles. The player starts new game in a garage, where the player can find gasoline and water, which then will be necessary to be hydrated. While driving, player can come across an abandoned house or a gas station, in which the player can find new car parts, fuel, and other supplies. The player can detach other cars' parts and attach them to player's own. The player can also go off-road.[3]

The game was rated highly on Steam with over than 30,000 positive user reviews.[1] Andy Kelly, writer for PC Gamer, says that "If you've ever wanted to drive a clunky little car through an eerily deserted expanse of long highways and seas of sand dunes, then The Long Drive is the answer to your very specific prayers. I'm not sure if it's quite worth the $10 asking price yet, but this could be one to keep an eager eye on.".[3]
