Thomas McKone is a Professor Emeritus at the University of California, Berkeley, and former president of the International Society of Exposure Science (ISES) [1].

McKone earned his Ph.D. in Engineering at UCLA in 1981. He is most recognized for developing models for environmental risk assessments and has over 160 papers published in peer-reviewed journals [2]. Some of his most well known work includes chairing a major study for the National Academy of Science, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) and other roles in numerous committees ([3]). In 2019, the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory honored him with the Lifetime Achievement Award [4].
