He is the author of the book 'Decentralized Control of Complex Systems', Academic Press (1991).[1]

In 1981 Šiljak became Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), "for contributions to the theory of nonlinear control and large-scale systems".[3] In 2010 he received the Richard E.
