Ekramy Ahmad El-Shahat (Arabic: اكرامى‎‎) (born October 26, 1955) is an Egyptian former footballer. He played for the Egyptian side Al-Ahly as well as Egypt in between 1971–1987, he is one of the best African Goalkeepers of all time in popular view.

Ekramy or "Africa Monster", as some fans called him, was born in the city of Suez in October 1954. He joined Ahly's youth in 1969, after less than two years has been promoted to the first team in 1971 and played the first friendly match either Suez in the Korean activity ceased due to the war and Al-Ahly Win 1-5.

The formal start of the "Africa Monster" was difficult after assuming the Ekramy guard Al-Ahly goalkeeper before the ittihad in the season 1972/1973 to deliver Al-Ahly defeat this season in the first court order to clean and everyone predicted early end to the upward guard, but Captain Abdu Saleh El-wahsh called and gave him the opportunity to remain in the game following the Ismaili won Al-Ahly win straight goal to start off Al-Ahly's goalkeeper inside the green rectangle.

Ekramy participated in more than 300 games with Al-Ahly, which was retained by the old Al-Ahly's guard Adel Hekal, who played 14 consecutive years and had become one of the most Ekramy guards goalkeeper involvement with the first team, momentarily caught up.

Ekramy decided to retire from the game in 1987, having spent with Egypt more than 18 years, that helped him to win the Egyptian League 10 times and to win Egyptian Soccer Cup five times and to start in the African Cup Winners' Cup three times and the CAF Champions League once.

He played the Egypt national football team to appear in nine FIFA World Cup qualifying matches.[1]
