El Afweyn District ([Degmada Ceel Afweyn] Error: {{Lang-xx}}: text has italic markup (help)), also known as El Afweyne District, is a district in the northern Sanaag region of Somalia. Its capital lies at El Afweyn.
Demography
The El Af-Weyne district in western Sanaag is inhabitant by people from the Somali ethnic group, with the Habar Je'llo sub clan of the Isaaq especially well represented.[1]
