Elevation Worship is a contemporary worship music band from Elevation Church in Charlotte, North Carolina.[1][2][3] The band's main vocalists are Chris Brown, Mack Brock, Wade Joye, London Gatch, Jane Williams, Brad Hudson, Andrea Smith, Jonsal Barrientes, and Matthews Ntele, as well as many other contributing musicians and vocalists.[3] The band released their debut studio album under the Essential Records label on November 21, 2011 called For the Honor.[1][4] The band's second album is Nothing Is Wasted, which was released under the Essential label on February 19, 2013. Their third album, Only King Forever was released in early 2014. With a live recording following on August 1, 2014 at Time Warner Cable Arena which produced their fourth album, Wake Up the Wonder. It was released on November 25 that same year. On July 31, 2015, they held another live recording at Time Warner Cable Arena which produced their fifth studio album, Here As in Heaven. It was released on February 5, 2016 and peaked No. 1 on US Album charts.[1][5]

History

Elevation Worship is from Elevation Church in Charlotte, North Carolina.[1][2][3]

The band released four independent studio albums. The Sound was released in 2007 (shown as by Elevation Church // Live), We Are Alive in 2008, God With Us in 2009 and Kingdom Come in 2010.[3] Kingdom Come was the band's first album to break through on the Billboard charts, and this was done on No. 5 on Heatseekers, No. 42 on Independent Albums and at No. 17 on the Christian Albums chart.[1] Elevation Worship signed with Essential Records in 2011.[3] For the Honor, their debut album on a major label, was released on November 21, 2011 on Essential, which it saw chart success on Billboard charts, including No. 1 on Heatseekers, No. 19 on the Christian Albums, and the Billboard 200 at No. 193.[1][4] "Nothing Is Wasted" was released on February 19, 2013 on Essential, also seeing chart success – No. 1 on the Christian Albums chart and at No. 41 on the Billboard 200.[1][5]

Only King Forever, their third album on Essential, was released January 14, 2014, debuting at their highest charting position, No. 23 on the Billboard 200.[6] This album was recorded live in Charlotte in 2013. Elevation Worship's fourth album, Wake Up the Wonder, was recorded live on August 1, 2014 at Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina, and released on November 25, 2014.[7]
