Elias Bongmba

Elias K. Bongmba (born 1953) is a Cameroonian-American academic who is an Associate Professor of Religious Studies at Rice University in Houston, Texas. His research focuses on African religions. In addition to numerous journal articles he has written two books:

  • African Witchcraft and Otherness: A Philosophical and Theological Critique of Intersubjective Relations (SUNY Press, 2001).
  • The Dialectics of Transformation in Africa, (Palgrave Macmillan, 2006)
