The remainder of the school includes the auditorium, the 4 gyms, the swimming pool, the figure eight hall that the shop classrooms are in, as well as special education classroom, the I.S.S. (detention) classroom, seventh and eighth grade science classrooms, and health classrooms.

Layout

There is one floor at Ellis. There is a sixth grade hall that the majority of the sixth graders' classes are in and there is a seventh grade hall that the seventh and eighth graders have classes in. The remainder of the school includes the auditorium, the 4 gyms, the swimming pool, the figure eight hall that the shop classrooms are in, as well as special education classroom, the I.S.S. (detention) classroom, seventh and eighth grade science classrooms, and health classrooms.

Students

At Ellis Middle School there are 900 students from sixth to eighth grade. For each grade there are pods, which are groups of students in which the grade is divided. There are three pods in sixth grade, two in seventh grade and two in eighth grade.

History

In the 1980s the school had a large fire destroying most of the school. For three years the school was not used. Because of the damage, students from Ellis had to temporarily attend Austin High School. The school colors are blue or Packer (name of school sport teams) red and white. In 2010, Ellis was remodeled and given a multi-purpose room which doubles as a cafeteria and gym.
