Encinitas is a passenger rail station serving the city of Encinitas, California on North County Transit District's COASTER commuter rail route. In addition to the COASTER service, Pacific Surfliner trains also served this station between 2013 and 2017.[2] This station is served by 4 scheduled Breeze bus routes, FLEX Route 374, and LIFT paratransit for those with disabilities. This station is also within walking distance to the Downtown Encinitas.[3]

On October 7, 2013, Amtrak began serving this station with its Pacific Surfliner train.[2] Amtrak dropped service to Encinitas on October 9, 2017 due to low ridership.[4]

Along with Carlsbad Village station, this is one of two single track stations on the Coaster line, causing a bottleneck for rail traffic.[citation needed]
