National Road 4 (also known as Tallinna–Pärnu maantee; Tallinn-Pärnu highway) begins from the centre of Tallinn from Viru väljak. After this the road runs through the city (Pärnu maantee) until Männiku, where it crosses the city limits. The Tallinn-Pärnu-Ikla highway runs in a north-south direction across Estonia. The highway ends on the Estonian and Latvian border at Ikla.

Route

The T4 is a part of the European route E67, also known as the Via Baltica. For 31,8 km, the road is a dual carriageway. The main section is between Tallinn and Ääsmäe (23,7 km). The rest of the dual carriageway is the Pärnu bypass (8,1 km). The total length of the road is 192,2 km. The road continues in Latvia as the A1.
