Exoclavarctus dineti is a species of tardigrades in the genus Exoclavarctus being the only one of the family Halechiniscidae. The species are found in the deep ocean floor in the North Atlantic Ocean.[1] Along with Exoclavarctus and Proclavarctus both of them found deep in the oceans, each with one species, the genus and the species were named by Jeanne Renaud-Mornant in 1983.[1] the etymology of Exoclavarctus is Greek exo "out" and the genus Clavarctus, meaning "key bear".
