Fudbalski centar Vujadin Boškov is the training facility of Serbian professional football club FK Vojvodina. The sports complex was named after Vujadin Boškov, a former player and successful trainer of FK Vojvodina.

Overview

In the early seventies of last century on the edge of Novi Sad, and the next roads to Veternik, arose sport and a training center, the home of football club FK Vojvodina . In 2006, the club reconstructed the whole club complex along with the stadium. In 2009 the training facility was expanded yet again. Today, this gorgeous center spread on 85,000 m2 of sports failties and 2,000 m2 of enclosed space. At 6 courts practicing daily first team players and seven junior selections of club. One of them is with artificial grass. Conditions that provides Football Centre "Vujadin Boškov" allow playing matches and tournaments. Two courts are surrounded by bleachers, and at the main there is possibility of playing matches and training in night conditions.[1]

For the accommodation of players and members of the coaching staff is envisaged 8 double rooms and 2 luxury suites. Each unit has a television, air conditioner, refrigerator, internet connection and other modern equipment. A kitchen that is open 365 days a year preparing meals for the senior team and all the younger categories. The sports complex has all the segments necessary for the functioning of European club, such as changing room, gym, medical center and laundry facilities. The main building houses two press centers. Recreational facility and amusement at both facilities include TV, billiards, table football, computers and air conditioners. The entire complex is managed by a team of highly qualified personnel. A special service for the 24-hour security of the sports facility is also available. Regarding functionality, architectural solutions, modern equipment and building materials used, this center is one of the most modern training camps in South Eastern Europe.[2]

Famous for its good football youth work, FK Vojvodina has developed renowned professional footballers such as Miloš Krasić, Gojko Kačar, Milan Stepanov, Srđan Bajčetić (retired), Dušan Tadić, Željko Brkić, Danijel Aleksić, Slobodan Medojević, Aleksandar Katai, Goran Šaula, former Barnsley player Jovo Bosančić, Damir Stojak among others.

Future development

In 2012, the board of the club announced that the sports complex will be expanded.
