Fabio Lopez (born 17 June 1973) is an Italian football manager of Spanish descent and a former footballer. A football coach with experiences as youth coach of many Italian Academy Club and Club affiliate to A.S. Roma and many International Experience as a Professional Head Coach

He was appointed as Head Coach of first team FK Banga Gargždai ( Lithuania ) on January 2007. It was the first team he coaching as Pro Coach. Worked as scout for Atalanta B.C. and ACF Fiorentina. In 2008 was instructor in UEFA B course in Lithuania Football Federation. Have a Strong verbal communications (English, Italian & Lithuanian) is expert in a tactics, strong leadership qualities: able to analyze and solve problems, in Team .Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with players.

Dependable and conscientious – very accurate at detail work training. Physical Training Specialist and Computer literacy.

Playing career

A former Goalkeeper, started in the academy of A.S. Roma his playing career was cut short by a serious knee injury while with Agiatese in the 1992–93 season.

Early years

He graduated with a school diploma secondary education in Rome. After retiring as a footballer, Lopez went on to become a football coach for a number of semi-professional club and youth teams. At age 28, he won a Youth Cup in some International Tournament in Umbria Region, by Roma Team. ( Affiliate Academy of A.S. Roma) where he worked until 2005 before to become a Scout of ACF Fiorentina Lopez obtained the license for youth coaches in 2000.

Coaching career

Eurolimpia A.S. Roma Academy

In 1996, Lopez joined the youth coaching staff at Eurolimpia Roma ( Affiliate Academy A.S. Roma) as a goalkeeper Coach of the Academy On March 2007, Lopez obtained a UEFA A coaching licence (Italy second category licence),[3] which made him eligible to work as a head coach of Lega Pro teams or as a vice-coach of [Serie A] and Serie B clubs. Lopez, however, did not have a UEFA Pro Licence (Italy first category licence), so he could only work as a care-taker in the first and second division of Italy. A the moment Lopez obtained a Pro Uefa License. A the course Pro License is authorizes to work in all levels of football world.

Roma Team A.S. Roma Academy

In 2000 he was hired by Roma Team Youth Academy, Roma won a provincial championship and three regional tournaments and brought out many young player that today are professional Italian footballers. In 2003 he became a Scout for Atalanta B.C. ( Serie A)

FK Banga Gargždai

In the 2007-2008 season Lopez was approached by the Lithuania professional club FK Banga Gargždai as Head Coach for the first time as Professional Coach, the season was very successful season for his team and they also reached the semi-final of the cup Lithuania. In that 'year the team had the best defense in the league, losing only 6 games, and conceding only 15 goals all season.

FK Šiauliai

In the season 2008-2009 after the 'positive experience of success with FK Banga Gargždai, Lopez was hired by FC Siauliai which finished in fourth place in the league with a record of 11 consecutive games with positive results.

Sabah FA

in 2011 was approached by the team of Super League in Malaysia, Sabah FA, is called to be a Head Coach but the club gave him the position as Technical Director, but after about eight months Lopez resigns, and moved to Indonesia where he Coaching the prestigious Premier League Team the PSMS Medan.

PSMS Medan

In 2012 Lopez saved the team from relegation with two games in advance. The team when he arrived was in very precarious conditions in the standings. The arrival of Lopez changed the mentality of the team reaching safety.

B.G. Sports Club

Lopez was hired by a team of the Premier League in the Maldives, the team was also in bad condition in the league standings. Fabio Lopez arrived after 4 games from the championship started when the team had 0 points but after a series of important positive results the team Lopez reaches the end of the season the third place with great success.

Bangladesh National Team

Lopez was hired by Bangladesh National Team. The coach has terminated the contract with Bangladesh Football Federation in January 2016
