Feargus Urquhart, born 1970-04-19, is a computer game developer and currently the CEO of Obsidian Entertainment.

Urquhart is best known for his work at Interplay Entertainment, particularly as leader of Black Isle Studios. Black Isle, which Urquhart established in 1997, was Interplay's internal computer role-playing game division, and developed a number of well-known games, including Icewind Dale, Planescape: Torment, Castles 2: Siege and Conquest, and Fallout 2. When Interplay ran into financial difficulties, and Black Isle's future became uncertain, Urquhart and several other industry veterans departed to found Obsidian Entertainment. He is now leading Obsidian in Fallout New Vegas.

Trivia

Feargus Urquhart served as a play tester for The Bard's Tale Construction Set in 1991.

In Baldur's Gate, in Nashkel, one of the graves has a description that says: "Feargus- who said. "Is it done yet?" "not yet I bet!" (once too many!)". It may be understood as a reference to Feargus and his eagerness about the game.

In Baldur's Gate 2, one of the commoners in the Waukeen's Promenade area is named "Feargus".

In Fallout 2, the name "Feargus" was mentioned as a spy's codename-alike when the player character informs the NCR government about the spying on the president Tandi with a holodisk. Feargus is also the name of a villager in Arroyo who complains about the well being broken. It is also notable that Feargus was also the lead director of Fallout 2 during the time of Black Isle Studios.

In Neverwinter Nights 2: Storm of Zehir, if you follow the troupe of bards from Crossroad Keep after they steal Khelgar's gauntlet and run off with it, there is a half-orc in the cabin in which they are hiding who is named "Feargus Orc-Heart."
