The Federación Mexicana de Esgrima (Mexican Fencing Federation) is the ruling body of fencing in Mexico and operates under the aegis of CONADE (Comisión Nacional de Cultura Física y Deporte). The current president of the federation is Jorge Castro Rea, who used to fence épee. The previous president (12 years) was Lourdes Lozano. She fenced foil and is a Pan American Games medalist. The Mexican fencing federation works with CONADE to solicit funds to promote fencing in Mexico. They organize competitions, training camps and trips to other countries.
