Born in Ashford, County Wicklow, he began his musical career as a boy soprano at the age of seven coached by his mother, soprano Toni Walsh.[4] Winning many prizes throughout his early years, he was eventually cast in Mozart's Magic Flute aged twelve, which toured Ireland.[4] Walsh-Peelo followed this up with the part of Miles in Britten's Turn of the Screw.[4] In 2012, he appeared on Irish television in the famous Late Late Toy Show singing and playing piano.[4]

In 2016, Walsh-Peelo made his acting debut in the musical comedy-drama film Sing Street along with Lucy Boynton.[5] The film was directed by John Carney.[6]

He sings and plays guitar and piano, performing live with Sing Street co-star Mark McKenna after the film's showing at the Sundance Festival.[7]

He was signed by William Morris Endeavor in the USA and Independent Talent in the UK in 2015.[8]
