Summary

Description
English: The Fethiye Mosque, an Ottoman architectural marvel, graces the city of Ioannina in Greece. This historic mosque was constructed within the fortified walls of the city, following the successful Ottoman takeover in 1430. Its location is particularly noteworthy as it stands near the remnants of a Byzantine church from the early 13th century, which was dedicated to the Archangels Michael and Gabriel.
