Ivan Elagin (December 1, 1918 – February 8, 1987; Ukrainian: Иван Елагин, Russian: Иван Венедиктович Елагин, real name Ivan Matveyev was a Russian émigré poet born in Vladivostok. He is best remembered for writing about The Holocaust in Ukraine. His "Kirillovskie iary" written in 1943, was one of the first-ever literary works on the subject of 1941 massacre of Ukrainian Jews in Kiev
