How come Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) is shown in the same color as that of Pakistan? But when we see any map of India (on Wikipedia), POK is shown in a different color/shade as a "disputed land". If POK is "disputed land" and not part of India, then why not color coding for POK in maps related to Pakistan and Pakistani cities is different than the regular/legal geography of Pakistan?

Because that's how the person who made the map did the coloring. You're free to make a new version of the map with different coloring and upload it as a replacement. DS (talk) 15:41, 6 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

But this is not a standalone case. Such maps showing Kashmir portions in the same color coding as that of Pakistan, is seen everywhere in Wiki articles. Simply because this is a map of Pakistan, so Pakistan occupied Kashmir has the same colour as the rest of the country, but Indian occupied Kashmir is shown in grey. For maps of India, India occupied Kashmir is shown with the same colour as the rest of India, but Pakistan occupied Kashmir is shown in grey or another different colour. --151.200.16.114 (talk) 13:11, 2 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
