I checked in HABS and find this disputed image is actually a Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS) image, which is in the public domain. Fair use arguments need not be required. The HABS image is located here.

How should this be remedied?

  • Should simply the licensing on this low-quality image be revised (how)?
  • I could upload the original high-quality HABS photo properly (and after cropping it for better appearance).
    • If so, upload it to a new name or replace this one?
  • What else should be done, who to notify, where to post the change, etc?

I added HABS information and asserted Public Domain licensing on the image page, hope that is the right way to process this. Please advise if not. doncram (talk) 09:47, 28 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
