Fourah Bay is a neighborhood in Freetown, Sierra Leone. It is located in the West end of Freetown.

The Creole Muslim people, locally known as Oku, make up the large majority of the population of Fourah Bay

Fourah Bay is an overwhelming muslim majority neighborhood. Fourah Bay Is widely known for its rich Islamic culture and teachings, based within Sunni Islam, and its deeply conservative muslim population. Fourah Bay is home to a small but significant population of Salafi Sunni Muslims.

One of Sierra Leone's most famous politicians, Mohamed Sanusi Mustapha (locally known as M.S. Mustapha) is a native of Fourah Bay.

Some notable Oku families in Fourah Bay include the Alharazim, the Ibrahim Family, Macauley family, Alghali family, the Dean family, the Mahdi family, Lewally family, the Cole family, the Rahman family, the Bakarr family, the Savage family and many other families.
