Before I Self Destruct is the confirmed title of 50 Cent's third studio album. 50 Cent told MTV he chose the name because "it could potentially happen."[1]
There are no officially confirmed tracks yet, although in an appearance on The Howard Stern Show on January 4, 2007 50 Cent stated the album was "80% done".[2] It was also suggested by G-Unit's DJ Whoo Kid that the album may be a two disc album, the first being "club-banging ridiculous" and the second being "hard-core killa shit."[3] 50 Cent has also confirmed that this album will be just as aggressive as his previous albums Get Rich or Die Tryin' and The Massacre.[3] The album will be expected to follow Hot Rod's debut, Fast Lane, and Young Buck's Buck The World.[4]
Likely artists to appear on the album are: G-Unit (Lloyd Banks, Young Buck & Tony Yayo) as well as other members of the G-Unit family (Hot Rod, Mobb Deep, M.O.P. & Olivia) and artists of the Shady/Aftermath roster, such as Eminem, Stat Quo, Ca$his, Bishop Lamont and Busta Rhymes.
In an interview with MTV.com, Jonathan Rotem discussed working with 50 Cent on the new album. Jonathan Rotem said in the interview that 50 Cent was definitely into "soulful stuff".[5]
