Frederick Mutebi Kitaka, sometimes referred to as Frederick Kitaka Mutebi, is a Ugandan physicist, mathematician, accountant, entrepreneur and industrialist. He currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Quality Chemical Industries Limited (QCIL), a Ugandan limited liability company. QCIL is the only Sub-Saharan pharmaceutical company that is licensed to manufacture triple therapy antiretroviral medication. He is also a shareholder in the company and sits on its Board of Directors.[1]

Education

Frederick Mutebi Kitaka was educated at Namilyango College, a prestigious, boys-only boarding middle and high school located at Namilyango, in Mukono District, Central Uganda. He studied Mathematics and Physics at Makerere University, Uganda's largest and oldest public university, graduating with the degree of Bachelor of Science (BSc). He also holds the degree of Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting and Financial Management from the University of Buckingham.[2]

Work History

From 1994 until 2002, Frederick Mutebi Kitaka worked as the financial controller, at Coopers Uganda Limited, a company which later rebranded to MTK Holdings Limited. From 2002 until 2005, he worked as the Director of Finance at Quality Chemicals Limited. In 2005, he became the Chief Finance Officer at Quality Chemical Industries Limited. The company manufactures antiretroviral and antimalarial medications. He is a shareholder in the company and sits on its Board of Directors. He has served in that capacity from 2005 until now.[3]
