Fritillaria cirrhosa is a herbaceous plant native to India, Nepal, Pakistan, Myanmar (Burma), Bhutan, Sikkim, Tibet, Gansu, Qinghai, Sichuan, and Yunnan.[2][3]

Fritillaria cirrhosa produces bulbs up to 20 mm in diameter. Stem is up to 60 cm tall, usually with one flower at the top, sometimes 2 or 3. Leaves are narrowly lanceolate, usually opposite, sometimes whorled, up to 13 cm long. Flowers are bell-shaped, yellowish-green to brownish-purple flowers which are usually with a chequered pattern in dull purple. The plant commonly found in alpine slopes and shrubberies of the Himalayas, at altitudes of 2700–4000 m.[3][4][5][6]
