GEMS World Academy is an IB School located in Dubai, UAE. It is a private independent school managed by GEMS Education.[1]
School facilities
The school covers 42,715 sq. meters of land[2] and is composed of two buildings, the second building was built in 2012 for the secondary students. It has its own library and the most technologically advanced planetarium in Dubai. A 620-seater Auditorium is used for many activities such as orchestras, choirs, theater productions and conferences. It also has a dedicated symphony center which encompasses a wide range of musical facilities. The roof is a designated "peace garden" to provide students with an outdoor space for meeting and relaxation.
The school also has various modern sports facilities including a 400m athletic track and all-weather artificial pitch; a 6-lane, 50m covered swimming pool and trainer pool; covered tennis and squash courts; a large gymnasium, fitness centre as well as a junior gym and indoor climbing wall.[3]
KHDA inspection report
The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) is an educational quality assurance authority based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It undertakes early learning, school and higher learning institution management and rates them as well. As of 2016, the KHDA gives the school a rating of Good.[4]
