Giławy [ɡiˈwavɨ] (German: Gillau) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Purda, within Olsztyn County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) east of Purda and 22 km (14 mi) east of the regional capital Olsztyn. The village has now a population of 540.

Before 1772 the area was part of Kingdom of Poland, 1772-1945 Prussia and Germany (East Prussia). and was called Gillau[2] in German.
