Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan
Template:Arabic name HH Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan is an Emirati businessman and the son of late emir (ruler) of Abu Dhabi, the founder and first president of UAE. He is the half-brother of current UAE president, Abu Dhabi emir Khalifa.
As of December 2010, he is the chairman of the board of directors of Etihad Airways,[1] the Abu Dhabi government owned airlines. The company recently beaten Dubai owned Emirates airline to name an English stadium in a new record fee. The sponsored team Manchester City, was owned by his half-brother HH Sheikh Mansour.
In April 2010 he replaced his deceased brother HH Sheikh Ahmed as the managing director of Abu Dhabi Investment Authority,[2] the largest sovereign wealth fund.[3]
He is the chairman of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, (the crown prince personal cabinet). He also the member of Executive Council of Abu Dhabi,[4][5] as well as Deputy Chairman of Khalifa University Board of Trustees.[6]
In 2012 he was included in the 50 Most Influential list of Bloomberg Markets Magazine.
