Hana Blažíková (born 2 December 1980) is a Czech soprano and harpist. She is a leading interpreter of Baroque, Medieval and Renaissance music.

Biography

Born in Prague, Blažíková earned a degree in music and philosophy at the Charles University. In 2002, she received a diploma in vocal performance from the Prague Conservatory after studying with Jiří Kotouč, and in master classes with noted musicians Poppy Holden, Peter Kooy, Monika Mauch and Howard Crook.

Specialising in early music of the Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque periods, Blažíková has worked with many notable international early music ensembles, including: Collegium Vocale Gent (Philippe Herreweghe), Bach Collegium Japan (Masaaki Suzuki), Vocal Ensemble Sette Voci (Peter Kooy), Collegium 1704 (Václav Luks), Collegium Marianum Prague (Jana Semerádová), Gli Angeli Genève (Stephan MacLeod), L'Armonia Sonora (Mieneke van der Velden), Musica Florea (Marek Štryncl), Capella Regia Prague (Robert Hugo), Ensemble La Fenice (Jean Tubéry).

In addition to her work as a soprano, Blažíková is a professional harpist, performing medieval vocal music and often accompanying herself. Since 2008, she has been a member (and co-founder) of the all-female Tiburtina Ensemble.
