- Season 10 consisted of 22 episodes.
- Scott Baio (Chachi), Erin Moran (Joanie), and Al Molinaro (Al) left the show to star on the short-lived spin-off Joanie Loves Chachi. Baio and Moran rejoined the main cast for the final season (and made guest appearances in this season), while Molinaro made a few guest appearances in these Final seasons.
- Cathy Silvers (Jenny Piccalo) and Ted McGinley (Roger Phillips) were promoted to the opening credits, Lynda Goodfriend was removed to making guest appearances, and Linda Purl joined the main cast as Fonzie's new serious girlfriend, Ashley Pfister.
- Henry Winkler, Marion Ross, and Tom Bosley appear in all episodes.
