Harry Clinton Dowda (December 29, 1922 – June 24, 1996) was an American football defensive back in the National Football League for the Washington Redskins and the Philadelphia Eagles. He played college football at Wake Forest University.[1] He served three years in the Airborne and saw action in the Battle of Bulge and Crossing the Rhine. In 1953, he was married with two children and sold autos in the off-season.[2]
