Harvey James "Harry" O'Brien was the fifth head college football coach for The Citadel Bulldogs located in Charleston, South Carolina and he held that position for five seasons, from 1916 until 1921. His career coaching record at The Citadel was 14 wins, 15 losses, and 4 ties. This ranks him 12th at The Citadel in total wins and 11th at The Citadel in winning percentage[2]

Harry also coached basketball and baseball for The Citadel for two seasons during World War I. He finished with a record of 6 wins and 2 losses in basketball and 3 wins and 9 losses in baseball.[3]
