Academics

The Ofsted Report (2004-2005) for the school showed that the school is performing well. All marks given were 1 (for Excellent) except a 2 (for Good) for Food and Health. Since the Ofsted report, the school has been named "Outstanding" by Ofsted.[1]

The GCSE and A level results of 2006 showed that 98% of students achieved 5A* - C GCSE or equivalent passes or more.[2]

Dr. Melvyn Kershaw (the head teacher now retired) was delighted for both students and staff. "Value-added data is the real measure of a successful school; I offer my congratulations to students and staff alike on this outstanding achievement."
