Heald Green is a village in the Metropolitan Borough of Stockport, in the parliamentary constituency of Cheadle. It was in Cheshire until 1974 when it became part of Greater Manchester.
Heald Green station is on the Styal Line and is linked by a spur to Manchester Airport, approximately one mile away.
Heald Green is bordered by Cheadle and Gatley to the north, Cheadle Hulme to the east, Handforth to the south and Wythenshawe to the west.
Famous residents have included world snooker champion Alex Higgins, former Lancashire cricket players Johnny Briggs and Clive Lloyd, Sarah Harding from Girl's Aloud, Coronation Street's Simon Gregson, 90s band Northern Uproar, and James Smyth a renowned gynecologist.
