Hippomane spinosa is a plant species in the Euphorbiaceae family.[2]

It was described by Linnaeus in 1753.[3]

Distribution

The plant is endemic to the island of Hispaniola in the Caribbean, within the Dominican Republic and Haiti.[1][4][5]
