  • Dennis Hopson (born 1965), retired American professional basketball player and currently an assistant coach at Bowling Green State University
  • Eben Hopson (1922–1980), Native American politician, the only person from Alaska's North Slope to serve in the territorial legislature, later a state legislator and co-founder/first mayor of the North Slope Borough
