Donald A. Manzullo (born March 24 1944), American politician, has been a Republican member of the United States House of Representatives since 1993, representing the 16th District of Illinois (map). He was born in Rockford, Illinois, was educated at American University in Washington, D.C. and Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and was a lawyer before entering the House. He is married to Freda Manzullo and is the father to Neil, Noel and Katie Manzullo.

Manzullo is the chairman of the United States House Committee on Small Business as well as the chair and founder of the House Manufacturing Caucus.

2006

In 2006 Manzullo will face Marine Veteran and two term Mayor of Galena Richard D. Auman [1]. As of March 21, 2006, Manzullo has outspent Auman 31-to-1. (source FEC filings)

The 16th District

The 16th District is a majority middle-class section of Illinois, including stretches of mostly rural farmland, the cities of Freeport and Rockford and the tourist destination of Galena. The District spans from the Mississippi River on the west to Crystal Lake on the east and from the Wisconsin border on the north to the edges of the Quad Cities on the south.
