The Hyderabad Mumbai Express, also known as the Mumbai Express, is a daily train linking Hyderabad City and Mumbai. The train shares the rakes of Hussainsagar Express and follows the same route, though the latter is a superfast express. The train manifests as 17031 Mumbai – Hyderabad Mumbai Express and 17032 Hyderabad – Mumbai Mumbai Express. The train has AC First Class.

  • 17032 hyd-cst express contains three AC coaches: one three-tier AC(b1), one two-tier AC (a1)-and one AC first cum two tier AC (ha1).
  • 17031 cst-hyd express also contain 3 AC coaches: two three-tier AC(b1&b2), one AC two-tier(a1).

Mumbai express departs Hyderabad at 08:40 PM and reach Mumbai at 01:05 PM. Hyderabad express departs Mumbai at 12:45 PM and reach Hyderabad Deccan at 05:55 AM. This train takes total 26 halts including the destination points during to and fro journey.[1] This year's history of the train shows that most of the times this train runs late than schedule.[2]

Traction

The train uses WDM3A/D/WDG3A/WDP4D Kalyan diesel loco shed power between Hyderabad and Mumbai CST .

The train is express and NOT super fast. Though 36 express trains ply daily, the track between Bhigvan and Gulbarga is single track.
