"I Have Learned to Respect the Power of Love" is a song sung by American R&B singer, Stephanie Mills, and is the second single from her 1985 self-titled album. The song was written by Angela Winbush and René Moore, of the singing duo Rene & Angela.
The song peaked at #1 on the Billboard Hot Black Singles chart, and remained number one for two weeks in May 1986. However, the single did not make the Billboard Hot 100.[1]
