Personal life

Ismaël Diomandé was born in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, but moved with his family to Bergen, Norway at the age of 2 because of the civil war going on in his home country. In Norway, Diamondé learned to play football and joined local team Åsane Fotball at the age of 6. When he was 8 years old he was discovered by a talent scout from Saint-Étienne while on vacation in France. After a successful trial he joined the club.[citation needed]
