Jōdogahama in Miyako

Jōdogahama (浄土ヶ浜) (lit. 'Pure Land Beach') is located in Miyako, Iwate Prefecture, Japan. Part of the Rikuchū Kaigan National Park, it is a nationally-designated Place of Scenic Beauty.[1][2] The beach was likened to the Pure Land Paradise by a priest in the early Edo period.[3]
