Jacqueline Desmarais (born 1928) is a Canadian billionaire.

Early life

She was born Jacqueline Maranger in Sudbury, Ontario in 1928.[1]

Career

Jacqueline Desmarais is the widow of Paul Desmarais, who died in 2013. According to Forbes, she has a net worth of $4.2 billion in January 2015.[1]

Personal life

She married Paul Desmarais who was also from Sudbury. They had two sons: Paul Jr. and André (who is married to former Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chrétien's daughter France) and two daughters, Sophie and Louise.[2]

Desmarais lives on a 75-acre estate at Le Domaine Laforest, Quebec.[1]
